Mu Theta Chapter – At – Large is one of 28 chapters in region 14 of Sigma Theta Tau
International, The Nurses Honor Society. As a constituent, Mu Theta is committed to support,
sustain, and carry forward the ideas of the international organization. In its pursuit of
promoting nursing excellence, it helps prepare nurses to excel and function globally in all
facets of nursing education, leadership, research, and scholarship.
To that end, the Board of Directors, Committees, and
Chapter members convene at alternating sites and rotate
between the campuses of the schools that comprise its membership
namely-St. Peter’s College (Englewood Cliffs), Felician College
(Lodi), and College of St. Elizabeth (Morristown). General business
meetings held regularly throughout the year provide opportunities
to discuss, plan, and implement strategies for chapter-based
programs or co-sponsored educational initiatives. In order to
meet the evolving needs of our members as well as enhance the
growth of the chapter, we encourage your active participation,
and invite you to join us!
Chapter Mission Statement
Mu Theta Chapter at Large embraces the wider aims of Sigma Theta
Tau International. In doing so, the Chapter provides direction,
fellowship, and financial support for nurses who seek community
engagement, educational assistance, or intra-professional mentoring
and who wish to acquire leadership skills for role expansion, peer
recognition or career fulfillment.

December 7th – Region 14 Conference – Dr. Jean Jenkins and Kathy Calzone, an oncology researcher - Topic: Genomes and the implications for Nursing
